About Apogee Defense

Apogee Defense provides cybersecurity advisory support for leadership teams that need clarity, structure, and experienced judgment.

We help founders, CEOs, CIOs, and executive teams understand current cybersecurity risk, prioritize the right work, and build practical security roadmaps that support the business.
Why Apogee Defense Exists

Cybersecurity decisions are getting harder for growing organizations.

Leadership teams are being asked to answer bigger questions about risk, compliance, customer trust, cyber insurance, sensitive data, and AI-enabled workflows. At the same time, many companies are not ready to hire a full-time CISO or build a large internal security team.

Apogee Defense exists to help close that gap.

We provide senior cybersecurity guidance for organizations that need clear thinking, practical priorities, and a path from current-state assessment to execution.

How We Work

Apogee Defense is designed to be practical, direct, and senior-led.

We do not start by pushing tools. We start by understanding the business.

A typical engagement begins with a Current-State Assessment to establish a clear baseline. From there, the work may move into Fractional CISO support, advisory execution, compliance-readiness planning, or secure automation readiness.

The goal is to give leadership a usable roadmap, not another generic report.

Our Advisory Principles

Business First

Cybersecurity should support the organization’s goals, not create unnecessary friction. Security decisions should be tied to business risk, customer trust, operational resilience, and practical execution.

Clear Priorities

Most organizations cannot fix everything at once. We help leadership understand which risks matter most, what needs immediate attention, and what can be sequenced over time.

Practical Roadmaps

A roadmap is only useful if the organization can act on it. Our work is designed to create clear next steps, ownership, and decision points.

Framework-Aware, Not Checkbox-Driven

Frameworks such as CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2 matter. But the goal is not paperwork for its own sake. The goal is stronger, more defensible cybersecurity aligned to business needs.

Secure Innovation

AI and automation can create meaningful business value, but sensitive workflows need governance, security boundaries, and human review. Apogee Defense is developing secure automation capabilities while continuing to lead with practical cybersecurity advisory.

Senior Cybersecurity Judgment Without Unnecessary Complexity

Apogee Defense’s advisory work is led by CISSP, CISM, and CCSIO-certified cybersecurity leadership.

That experience is used to help organizations make better decisions about risk, compliance, governance, program maturity, and future security investments.

We keep the work focused on what leadership needs to know:

  • Where are we exposed?

  • What matters most?

  • What does the business need to decide?

  • What should we do in the next 30, 60, and 90 days?

  • What support do we need after that?

What We Are Not

Clarity matters, so here is what Apogee Defense is not trying to be.

We are not:

  • A managed IT provider

  • A third-party tool reseller

  • A generic compliance checkbox shop

  • A company promising risk can be eliminated

  • A firm pretending every client needs a large implementation program

  • An AI hype shop selling unvalidated automation claims

We focus on advisory, assessment, roadmap development, Fractional CISO support, and carefully developed secure automation capabilities.

Where We Are Headed

Apogee Defense currently leads with Fractional CISO and cybersecurity advisory work.

At the same time, we are developing secure AI and automation capabilities for sensitive business workflows, including secure AI systems and RFP/RFI automation support.

Those capabilities are being approached carefully. The focus is on business value, governance, security, and human-reviewed workflows rather than hype.

The long-term direction is clear: help organizations make better cybersecurity decisions today while preparing for a future where secure automation becomes part of how the business operates.

Start With a Current-State Assessment

The best way to understand whether Apogee Defense is the right fit is to start with a Current-State Assessment.

The assessment gives your leadership team a practical view of cybersecurity risk, compliance gaps, security priorities, and the right next step.
